You can either copy an existing table from another application or create a new one directly within the Rich Text Editor.<\/p>\n<h2>Copy an existing table<\/h2>\n<p>If you&#8217;ve already created a table in another application, such as Microsoft Excel or Word, you can simply copy and paste it into a layout with a Rich Text Editor and select <strong>Keep formatting<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The table will retain its original formatting, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fonts and text formatting<\/li>\n<li>Cell colours<\/li>\n<li>Borders<\/li>\n<li>Row and column sizing<\/li>\n<li>Basic alignment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stoneshot.com\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/copying-tables.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>If required, you can further edit the table using the Rich Text Editor&#8217;s table tools.<\/p>\n<h2>Create a new table<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Select a layout with a Rich Text Editor.<\/li>\n<li>Position your cursor where you&#8217;d like the table to appear.<\/li>\n<li>Select the <strong>Table<\/strong> icon from the toolbar.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stoneshot.com\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/table-icon.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li>From the <strong>Table<\/strong> submenu, drag your cursor across the grid to select the required number of rows and columns, then insert the table into the email template.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stoneshot.com\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/create-new-table.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Edit table properties<\/h2>\n<p>Table Properties allow you to update the formatting of the entire table.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Highlight the table in the Rich Text Editor.<\/li>\n<li>Click the <strong>Table<\/strong> icon and select <strong>Table Properties<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>General settings<\/h3>\n<p>You can adjust:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Width and Height (using pixels or percentages)<\/li>\n<li>Cell spacing (the space between table cells)<\/li>\n<li>Cell padding (the space between cell content and its border)<\/li>\n<li>Border width<\/li>\n<li>Table alignment (Left, Centre or Right)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stoneshot.com\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/table-properties-general.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>Advanced settings<\/h3>\n<p>You can also customise:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Border style<\/li>\n<li>Border colour<\/li>\n<li>Background colour<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stoneshot.com\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/table-properties-advanced.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Edit cell properties<\/h2>\n<p>Use <strong>Cell Properties<\/strong> when you want to apply formatting to individual cells without affecting the rest of the table. This can be useful for highlighting important information, creating headings or visually separating sections of data.<\/p>\n<p>Common use cases include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Adding a coloured background to header cells<\/li>\n<li>Applying borders to highlight key information<\/li>\n<li>Aligning text within individual cells<\/li>\n<li>Formatting selected cells differently from the rest of the table<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To edit cell properties:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Select one or more cells within the table.<\/li>\n<li>Click the <strong>Table<\/strong> icon &gt; <strong>Cell<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Cell Properties<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>General settings<\/h3>\n<p>You can:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Set the width of a cell<\/li>\n<li>Specify the cell type<\/li>\n<li>Adjust the horizontal alignment (left, centre or right)<\/li>\n<li>Adjust the vertical alignment (top, middle or bottom)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Advanced settings<\/h3>\n<p>You can:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Set the border width and style<\/li>\n<li>Apply a border colour<\/li>\n<li>Add a background colour to selected cells<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Add or remove rows and columns<\/h2>\n<p>Click anywhere inside the table to display the table editing toolbar.<\/p>\n<p>From here you can:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Insert rows above or below<\/li>\n<li>Insert columns to the left or right<\/li>\n<li>Delete individual rows or columns<\/li>\n<li>Delete the entire table<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stoneshot.com\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/table-editing-toolbar.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Hover over each icon to display a description of its function.<\/p>\n<h2>Merge or split cells<\/h2>\n<p>To merge cells:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Select the adjacent cells you want to combine.<\/li>\n<li>Click the <strong>Table<\/strong> icon &gt; <strong>Cell<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Merge cells<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stoneshot.com\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/table-merge-cells.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<p>To split a merged cell:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Select the merged cell.<\/li>\n<li>Click the <strong>Table<\/strong> icon &gt; <strong>Cell<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Split cells<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.stoneshot.com\/learn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/table-split-cells.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Use tables to organise and present information in a structured format.
