If you leave Overwrite existing values<\/strong> unchecked, it will only update contacts that don’t have an event status for this event. That means you could invite clients at any time without affecting any that may have already registered or declined. This is our recommended approach.<\/p>\n This approach allows you to assign contacts without leaving the Event Builder. Click into the Session<\/strong>, scroll down to the Contacts Table<\/strong> and click on Add Contacts<\/strong>. You can then select Search for contacts<\/strong> or By list<\/strong>. Let’s go through both. When inviting from a list, you can pick a list, select “Invited” and click Add contact<\/strong>. This will assign each contact as Invited<\/strong> against the sessions you’ve selected and you’ll then see the list of contacts. You can add more lists again by picking Add contacts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n When inviting from individual emails, you can simply search for the contact’s record, set the Status<\/strong> to “Invited” and click Add Contact<\/strong>.<\/p>\n In addition to importing, you can edit the list against an event at any time.<\/p>\n Go into Events<\/strong> from the main navigation and click into the event. Then click into the Session<\/strong>, click on the filter icon and check Invited<\/strong>. This will show all invited contacts as well as Registered<\/strong>, Attended<\/strong>, etc.<\/p>\n You can now click to select one or many contacts and click Change Status<\/strong>. There is also the option to Remove Contact<\/strong> which will clear the event status and remove the selected contacts from the event. That’s it – you’re all set. Now is a great time to put your feet up and relax. You’ve earned this moment.
